The HR Department of SEA BLUE SHIPYARD LIMITED often receives enquiries from various Professional Institutions located in South India regarding the possibilities of providing Industrial Training to their students for a limited period. It was in this context that the HR Department decided to introduce an Industrial Training programme with the active co-operation of the Production Department. By introducing this training programme, it is aimed to provide pre-professional work experience to the students of Technical Institutions to improve their knowledge and skills that are relevant to their areas of specialization.
Objective
The objectives of the Industrial Training programme are:
- To give students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired on campus in a real-life work situation.
- To provide students with opportunities for practical, hands-on learning in their areas of specialization while working under various Departments/Projects of Sea Blue Shipyard.
- To expose students to a work environment, common practices, employment opportunities and work ethics that can be adopted in their relevant fields.
To enhance the employability skills of the students
Registration
- Before Industrial Training
- Submit an e-mail request through the Principal/HOD one month before the Industrial Training/Internship Programme commences.
- Obtain approval and confirmation from HR Department of Sea Blue Shipyard.
- On arrival
- Submit request letter from the Principal/HOD of the concerned Technical Institution of the student.
- Confirm registration by filling the formal application form for Internship training and sign the Undertaking.
- Pay the fee (as per the fee structure) and insurance premium by way of cash to HR Department.
- Collect course materials from HR Department.
- Prepare the flowchart for the specific training based on the duration of the training.
