History

SBSL was established in the year 2003  as Sea Blue Marine Engineering Pvt. Ltd. and started functioning in a lease yard in Edakochi.

Purchased land on August as a first step to start operations at Vypeen Island, Kochi.

Later in October it shifted its entire operations from Edakochi to Vypin in its own yard located in the most strategic spot in India. <br><br>Designed and Constructed  our own multipurpose tug boat as our first project and Launched on June 2007. <br><br>Acquired additional land Acres in Vypin on July.

Acquired additional land on August 2008.

The Company was converted to a public limited company in April and renamed as Sea Blue Shipyard Ltd. SBSL has got  ISO:9001-2008 certification of IRQS under IRS for  Ship Building and Repairing in December. Started our new branch in Goa in December.

Commissioned Mechanical slipway on March 2011

Built New Damage control training Facility (DCTF) for Naval Ship Repair Yard at Kochi

Purchased new land in backside of slipway. <br>The length of slipway extended for taking Fast petrol Vessels

Erection and commissioning of 60 Tons capacity Gantry Crane

Launched two numbers newly constructed barges of 54 meter length using balloons

The Indian Coast guard vessel ICGS Savitri Bhai Phule successfully docked

Design, Construction and Delivery of 51.44 Meter Self-Propelled Barge for transportation of Liquid Ammonia Gas for FACT Engineering Works Ltd.

New winch installed and commissioned the airbag slipway in June 2022. The first vessel docked in Airbag slipway using balloons.
